titleReading Star Strength – Tara Bala/titlepThis is the first of a two-part series on Tara Bala (Star Strength). The Tara Bala is based upon Nakshatras. Tara means star and bala means strength. When Vedic Astrologers refer to Tara Bala, they are referring to the placement of the planets in certain Nakshatras from that of the Moon. To determine Tara Bala, it is essential to know your Moons Nakshatra and its planetary ruler. You must know the Nakshatra your Moon falls within. If you know your Moons sidereal position within a sign, then the table below will help you find your Moons Nakshatra./pp1. Ashwini is 0° – 13°20 Aries and is ruled by Ketu.brbr2. Bharani is 13°20 – 26°40 Aries, ruled by Venus.brbr3. Krittika is 26°40 Aries – 10° Taurus, ruled by the Sun.brbr4. Rohini is 10° – 23°20 Taurus, ruled by the Moonbrbr5. Mrigashira is 23°20 Taurus – 6°40 Gemini, ruled by Marsbrbr6. Ardra is 6°40 – 20° Gemini, ruled by Rahubrbr7. Punarvasu is 20° Gemini – 3°20 Cancer, ruled by Jupiterbrbr8. Pushya is 3°20 – 16°40 Cancer, ruled by Saturnbrbr9. Ashlesha is 16°40 – 30° Cancer, ruled by Mercurybrbr10. Magha is 0° – 13°20 Leo, ruled by Ketubrbr11. Purva Phalguni is 13°20 – 26°40 Leo, ruled by Venusbrbr12. Uttara Phlaguni is 26°40 Leo – 10° Virgo, ruled by the Sunbrbr13. Hasta is 10° – 23°20 Virgo, ruled by the Moonbrbr14. Chitra is 23°20 Virgo – 6°40 Libra, ruled by Marsbrbr15. Swati is 6°40 – 20° Libra, ruled by Rahubrbr16. Vishaka is 20° Libra – 3°20 Scorpio, ruled by Jupiterbrbr17. Purva Ashadha is 13°20 – 26°40 Sagittarius, ruled by Venusbrbr21. Uttara Ashadha is 26°40 Sagittarius – 10° Capricorn, ruled by the Sunbrbr22. Sravana is 10° – 23°20 Capricorn, ruled by the Moonbrbr23. Dhanishtha is 23°20 Capricorn – 6°40 Aquarius, ruled by Marsbrbr24. Shatabishak is 6°40 – 20° Aquarius, ruled by Rahubrbr25. Purva Bhadrapada is 20° Aquarius – 3°20 Pisces, ruled by Jupiterbrbr26. Uttara Bhadrapada is 3°20 – 16°40 Pisces, ruled by Saturnbrbr27. Revati is 16°40 – 30° Pisces, ruled by Mercury/ppJanma Nakshatra or Birth Star/ppThe Janma Nakshatra is simply the Nakshatra the natal Moon is placed in. It is your Birth Star. It is number 1 in the Table below. For purposes of Tara Bala, the Janma Nakshatra is also all of the Nakshatras that have the same planetary ruler as your birth Nakshatra. For example, if your birth Nakshatra is Purva Bhadra, then your planetary ruler is Jupiter. Therefore, Vishaka and Punarvasu are also considered to be your Janma Nakshatra and any natal planets in these Nakshatras are said to be conjunct the Moon and in your birth star or Janma Nakshatra./ppMeanings of the Nine Tara:/ppTara #1: This is the Janma Nakshatra, the Nakshatra of the natal Moon including the other two Nakshatras who have the same planetary ruler as the Moon. Description: Beginnings, ideas, body. The Janma Nakshatra is equivalent to the Lagna (Ascendant). Planets here have a marked influence upon the appearance and personality./ppTara #2: Sampat Nakshatra, the 2nd Nakshatra from the Moon and from all Nakshatras ruled by the same planetary ruler as the Moon. Description: Accomplishment, good care of responsibilities, wealth, receptivity./ppTara #3: Vipat Nakshatra, the 3rd Nakshatra from the Moon and from all Nakshatras ruled by the same planetary ruler of the Moon. This relates to the 3rd House. Description: Hindrance, prevention, death, self-will, hard work, travel, siblings, competition/ppTara #4: Kshema Nakshatra, the 4th Nakshatra from the Moon and from all Nakshatras ruled by the same planetary ruler of the Moon. This Tara relates to the 4th and 5th Houses. Description: Things that create security, property, home, security of progeny and creativity./ppTara #5: Pratyak Nakshatra, the 5th Nakshatra from the Moon and from all Nakshatras ruled by the same planetary ruler of the Moon. Relates to the 6th House. Description: Averted, missed. Obstacles. Conflict, enemies./ppTara #6: Sadhaka Nakshatra, the 6th Nakshatra from the Moon and from all Nakshatras ruled by the same planetary ruler of the Moon. This Tara relates to the 7th House. Just as our spouse completes us and is useful to us and helps our life become more efficient, so does the 6th Tara manifest these specific qualities. Perfecting, useful and efficient/ppTara #7: Vadha Nakshatra, the 7th Nakshatra from the Moon and from all Nakshatras ruled by the same planetary ruler of the Moon. This Tara relates to the 8th House. Description: Slayer, destroyer, destruction, change./ppTara #8: Maitra Nakshatra, the 8th Nakshatra from the Moon and from all Nakshatras ruled by the same planetary ruler of the Moon. Relates to the 9th and 10th Houses. Description: Friendly, helpful, dharmic, dutiful, actions, what the person gives to the world./ppTara #9: Parama Maitra Nakshatra, the 9th Nakshatra from the Moon and from all Nakshatras ruled by the same planetary ruler of the Moon. This Tara relates to the 11th House. Description: Best or highest, most useful, producing a lot of good in life./ppAs an example, think of the Taras in this way: if Venus is in the second Nakshatra from the Janma Nakshatra, then the person will create and grow wealth in their life through the use of Venusian qualities, such as art, music decoration or comforting. If Venus was in the third Nakshatra (Vipat), then there would be a lot of competition within the persons love life. If Venus is in the 4th Nakshatra from the Janma Nakshatra then the person derives security from art, music, romance, etc. The native will have a beautiful home and love to create beautiful things. Do you get the idea? The 3rd, 5th and 7th Taras produce challenges and create obstacles and setbacks. The 9th Tara is the best and yields excellent results. The ruler of the 9th Tara, the planetary ruler of the Param Maitra Nakshatra and any planets within the 9th Tara will yield extremely beneficial results in its dasas and bhuktis. The 1st, 2nd,4th, 6th, and 8th Taras will also give good effects./ppThe Moon as the Mind/ppIn Vedic Astrology the Moon is the most important planet. This is because it represents the Mind. The Mind takes the light of the Soul (the Sun) and reflects it into manifested creation. It differentiates the light of the Sun through waxing and waning. So it naturally follows that the sign and especially the Nakshatra that the Moon falls within will have an enormous bearing on the personality characteristics of the individual. The relationship the Moon has with the other planets will reflect a persons attitude and whether they grow stability or change within their individual consciousness. I like to use the words stability or change instead of success or failure because in the ancient world, change was often equated with failure. A person could not just get up and decide he is moving across the country, changing careers and starting over. Cultural and economic conditions prevented these events from taking place. So, more often than not, the person going through major changes would face ruination. Please keep in mind that in modern times, the more difficult Taras are related to change and obstacles. Destruction and ruination must be seen from all aspects of the horoscope./ppReading Tara Bala is a great way to make predictions without having an exact birth time or being unsure of the birth time./ppLaura Barat is a professional practicing Vedic Astrologer in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. titleWhat is a Celebrity?/titlepOne common theme throughout celebrity history is that all the big celebrities were marked out to be famous because they were part of a larger than life event. Some people are born into fame but find it hard to fill the shoes of there famous mothers or fathers. Other people become celebrities from starting out with nothing in life; you can include many famous people in this bracket from the likes of Mike Tyson to the great actor Robert De Niro./ppShakespeare became a celebrity in his own time because he wrote plays about universal themes that are true for all humanity, regardless of time period, gender, race, religion, or continent. It seems like our celebrity obsessed society cannot get enough of the daily lives of such star celebrities./ppWhen celebrity marriages go wrong it can get ugly at least from a public perspective on the publicity side. One of the most high profile splits in recent celebrity history was actress Jennifer Aniston and actor Brad Pitt. Another huge celebrity divorce Michael Jordans from his wife of nearly 18 years, Chicago bank officer Juanita Vanoy, could end up as the most expensive in celebrity history, if his estranged spouse walks away with half his fortune./ppThe corridors of celebrity history are replete with cases of the young and rich having departed the rails by the time they reach maturity, I suppose it is an age old problem the confusion between celebrity and authority, sometimes fame can make people start to believe they are untouchable./ppRichard Heap is a writer interested in a target=_new href=http://www.free-celebrity-fake-list.infofree celebrity fake list/a and writes for a target=_new href=http://www.free-celebrity-fake-list.infohttp://www.free-celebrity-fake-list.info/a/pbrbr

titleMovie Review of WALL-E/titlepJust before the start of the movie WALL-E there was a short feature about a magician and his white rabbit. The feature was called: Presto Bunny. It was a wonderful and very funny animated feature that definitely had a giggle factor for the kids and the adults. I have to say that I enjoyed the short feature more than the WALL-E movie but that isnt to say the WALL-E movie wasnt entertaining./ppWALL-E is a love story between two robots. WALL-E (Waste Allocator Load Lifter – Earth Class)bris the last robot left on a very polluted Earth. His duties are to clean up the Earth while the humans have been evacuated to a spaceship habitat called Axiom for five years. 700 years later Axiom is still roaming space./ppBack on Earth things change for WALL-E when Eva shows up. She is a female robot whose directive isbrto search for life. WALL-E becomes curious with Eva and then falls in love with her. Eva at first is onlybrinterested in her directive but eventually warms up and falls in love with WALL-E./ppWALL-Es adventures begin when a spaceship returns to pick up Eva. WALL-E hitches a ride on thebrspaceship and finds himself on a spaceship filled with humans and an unusual assortment of robots./ppThe kids and the adults in the theater audience were just spell bound by the spectacular animation in the movie. At some points during the movie WALL-E even made the kids cry. Like I said earlier, the movie was entertaining but I felt the plot was a bit slow at times. I would have liked some more twists and turns in the story plot to keep my attention./ppWALL-E really makes you think about the most trivial things we throw out and how our habits affect our planet. Recent pictures of garbage lining the roads in Naples Italy come to mine. This movie will definitely keep the kids quite for a few hours and make you think about how we all can be greener in our habits. Come to think of it, I did see a discarded mall parking lot lamp post on the side of the road when I left the theater./ppI wonder what we can do about that. Lingerie Itch – When Scratching Becomes Unpleasurable

Filed under: Story — admin @ 1:49 am

Lingerie is a term derived from the French word ‘lin’ for linen. In English terminology, Lingerie describes women’s undergarments, which have erotic appeal. These trendy garments are especially designed using visually attractive fabrics such as Lycra, nylon, satin, lace or silk.

Most of the women choose lingerie based on its visual attraction, sexy appeal and soothing to eye irrespective of the other features. In addition, most of us do this mistake. Ladies, there are other necessary features that need to be considered while buying undergarments. If you are not making a proper choice then the results are not going to be favorable. Most women are facing problems such as itching and skin disease by making wrong selection of undergarments. Thus, it is very important to spare time before choosing your product.

Few tips that can be helpful while buying lingerie:

- Fabric – Fabric is the major consideration while buying lingerie. See the fabric and decide whether it is convenient to wear in the particular climate, whether it is suitable for your body type or not. Use of synthetic fabric is also not advisable. Sometimes the fabric can cause itching or any other skin ailment in the body. For example wearing silk lingerie in hot and humid environment can result in itching.

- Purposeful – Lingerie should compliment clothing, it should be fashionable but at the same time should be functional as well. The garment should have required amount of ease and fit so that it is comfortable to wear.

- Design and Appeal – Lingerie should be designed to provide comfort as well as visual appeal. It should not be hanky-panky that you feel hassled to carry it etc. Lingerie should be sexy, posses’ erotic appeal but should look elegant as well.

Lingerie is the integral part of women’s clothing and it is not a one-minute decision. Therefore, keep in mind comfort ability while choosing for you.

Champions League Quarterfinals Review – Liverpool vs PSV & Chelsea vs Valencia

Filed under: Story — admin @ 8:27 pm

The champions league semi-final line up in now drawn up where for the first time in the history three English clubs are present along with the perennial favorites AC Milan. Let’s see how they progressed from Quarterfinals to the Semi-finals.

Liverpool Vs PSV Eindhevon

The match was done and dusted in the first leg when Liverpool went 3 goals up in the first hour at Philips Stadia in Eindhoven. Gerrard. Riise and Crouch sealed the deal for the Mersyside club.

The return leg was mere formality with Liverpool winning it one goals to nil by Peter Crouch goal in the second half.

Chelsea Vs Valencia

This was one of the most entertaining ties on card as Valencia is loaded with some of the players which Jose Mourinho wanted to buy in the previous season. The first leg at Stamford Bridge was an entertaining affair with Valencia going up by a wonder strike from Silva which caught Peter Cech on backfoot.

After spoiling numerous chances Chelsea got back in the game when drogba headed home an Ashley Cole punt in the second half. This left the game evenly poised for return fixture in Valencia.

The return League was not a spectacle but a brutally physical affair with both sides exchanging kicks for kicks. In the hard tackling football Valencia took the lead through Morientas when he lost his marker in the six yard box. At half time with the score line one nil, Jose Mourinho had just 45 minutes to keep the dream of four trophies going.

Second half started with a bang for Chelsea as they did all the early running and created chance that was converted by Schevchenko. With the game on even keel both teams tried hard to break the deadlock but none made any significant progress. As more often than not these matches are decided on either a moment of magic or moment of sheer madness. Amazingly both of these moments came from one man, Cannizares the Valencia’s goalkeeper. He made a miraculous save from Ballack header to keep Valencia in the game and then in the 90th minute miscalculated and beaten by Essien shot on the near post.

The late strike kept the Chelsea dream intact and left the Mourinho side to fight another day against their arch rival in Champions League Liverpool.

Classic Rock and Roll Groups From the 1960’s and 1970’s

Filed under: Story — admin @ 7:47 am

What we now refer to as classic rock from the 1960’s and 1970’s was very influential back in the day. Many of the songs have been able to stand the test of time, even with new genres of music taking over. There are musicians from these periods of time that have become larger than life. Even though their music is decades old they are still recognized for their contributions to the world of music.

Without a doubt one of the biggest bands of the 1960’s was the invasion of the Beatles. They brought a craze to the world of rock and roll that hadn’t quite been embraced yet. With all of the television productions at that time too they were all over the news and on dance shows. It seemed as if everyone had what was referred to as Beatle Mania going strong.

The Beatles came from Britain, and their style of music had a significant impact on the future of rock music in the United States. Such bands as the Rolling Stones were able to capitalize on the success of the Beatles and make a name for themselves as well. Rock stars became a legend in their own right during the 1960’s with flocks of fans following their every move.

Keith Emerson brought plenty of great music to the world in the 1970’s. He also added something that left the crowds awestruck – the use of pyrotechnics in his live shows. He also helped to pave the way for what became known as progressive rock in the 1970’s. These were bands that heavily relied upon the keyboard sounds in their music.

In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s the use of electronics were heavily introduced to the world of rock music. Bands including Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple use them successfully to develop a very unique sound that has immediately a hit. They incorporated synthesizers, foot pedals for drum sets, and even echoes in the background of their lyrics.

Some of the classic rock bands in the 1970’s are still out there today. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and Kiss are just a few of them. They brought to the stage their elaborate costumes, big hard, platform shoes for men, and of course make up. It was definitely a new style for the world of rock music. In fact, it was to lay the foundation for what would be referred to as the Hair Bands of the 1980’s.

If you still love the classic rock music from the 1960’s and 1970’s there are quite a few radio stations that play it. Some of them will be local channels while others are on satellite radio. There are also CD compilations of the top artists from these two decades. Take a stroll down memory lane while listening to many of those timeless tunes any time you feel like it.

Visit http://www.ClassicRockBands.info for information about the best classic rock music of the 1960s and 1970s with detailed articles and groovy pictures on bands like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Steppenwolf, and many more.

Horoscopes – Leo

Filed under: Story — admin @ 7:12 pm

In this fifth of a 12 part series on horoscopes, we’re going to look at the second of what are called the summer signs, Leo the Lion.

People who are born between July 23 and August 22 are Leo. Their element is fire, their quality is Fixed, their energy is Yang, their ruler is the Sun, their color is gold, their gem is Ruby, their main anatomical parts are the back, spine and heart, their keywords are willpower, creativity and expressing the heart, their Tarot suit is Wands and their Tarot Major Arcana cards are Strength and The Sun.

Some famous celebrities who are Leos are Ben Affleck, Sandra Bullock, Lisa Kudrow, Lucille Ball, Robert DiNero, Mick Jagger, Madonna, Woody Harrelson and Bill Clinton.

Leo the Lion. The king of the forest, the castle and just about everything else. The practical joker. If ever there was a sign of pure confidence and security, Leo is it. There is an old riddle that goes like this “How many Leos does it take to screw in a light bulb?” The answer, “One and a hallelujah chorus while she does it”.

Yes, Leos invented the word self confidence. They are ruled by the sun and they bask in the spotlight. They are very dramatic, bold, creative and incredibly strong. No other sign can get the attention of a room full of people like a Leo.

Not only that, they are a ton of fun to be around. Leos have great senses of humor and are real practical jokers. No doubt a Leo invented the whoopee cushion and the joy buzzer. It is hard to find a Leo who doesn’t laugh and laugh loud, except of course when they are locked in battle with their sworn enemy. If that should happen, which is quite possible even in the middle of a big party, clear the room. This one won’t stop until only one is left standing.

Because of the nature of the Leo being a leader, they are often surrounded by a bunch of yes men. They like it this way. Don’t ever question a Leo’s authority. That’s why, when it comes to love, the Leo needs somebody who is going to worship the ground they walk on. They expect to be served and well taken care of. The plus side of this is that Leos are very loyal. If you are good to them and they love you, they love you for life. So even though they expect adoration, they give plenty of it in return.

A Leo at work is a born leader. They will usually pick a career that will let them shine. So you won’t find a Leo working in a mail room. More likely, you’ll find him in the board room. The bigger the better as far as they are concerned. President of the company? No problem. President of the United States? Even easier still. There is nothing they feel they can’t do.

A Leo is a very strong and dynamic character. If you want a loyal friend who can beat up your worst bully like enemy, the Leo is who you want in your corner.

November 2008 – A Positive Stance

Filed under: Story — admin @ 5:26 am

The historical events that took place during the 1920’s eventually led to an unprecedented financial collapse which we now know as the ‘Wall Street Crash’.

That decade was ruled by the numerological influence of the 2 and the adoption of its negative traits led to excessive greed and poor financial decisions creating an imbalance of wealth that destabilised the entire American economy. It was with this in mind that I took note, with some trepidation, of the approaching new millennium whose ruling number would bring about similar conditions. The greater issue here is that the 2 is presently in a far more influential position, as it stands at the head of a millennium rather than a decade, so how extreme might the fall out be. We have to ask ourselves whether we are content to repeat the same old mistakes and put up with the ensuing damage or are we able to gain wisdom enough to choose a superior route for the benefit of all of our futures? There are a number of avenues that will help to contain the damage that may yet occur. One of these is a change of attitude.

November 2008 for everyone.

It will be all too easy now to level recriminations and to criticise those people that you feel have wronged you or to be jealous because you feel that others have got what you were entitled to but these attitudes will serve no useful purpose in the present scheme of things. The individuals that will win at this time are those who can provide optimistic, cheerful and positive leadership. This does not just apply to political leaders but to everyone. This is a period during which one should avoid careless talk and gossip as much of what you say may be misconstrued to suit other peoples hidden agendas. Similarly, you should not scatter your cash and personal energy in too many directions or take unnecessary risks as these will lead to loss. Overindulgence of any kind will not help your health, pocket, or impress others who may be experiencing difficult circumstances during this month, therefore a modest approach is to be encouraged.

November is a good time to work on your sense of humour and to develop a determined vision of your future. Good fortune will reach you if you are prepared to believe in the practice of wish fulfillment or positive prayer as the power of the imagination is particularly strong now. For those of you who would like to read further on this subject there is an old but incredibly inspiring work written by a very astute man called Al Koran. His book is called ‘Bring Out The Magic In Your Mind’ and was last published by Thorsons.

If you really want to attract happiness during this month then make an effort to be the first to express enthusiasm about the possibilities that life has to offer. The vibe that you send out will come back to you. Be creative in a way that suits your particular talents and make sure that you take time out to update your personal image as people will react to your outward appearance now. You should sharpen your social skills and try to attend social functions whether they be for business or simply for pleasure. Failing that, organise your own as they do not have to be complicated or expensive.

Travel over long distances is generally favoured during November so this will be an opportunity that you may be able to take up. Make sure that you do not tie yourself down with unnecessary commitments as you will need the freedom for a little self-expression over this period. Remember that a personal display of criticism, jealousy, and cynicism will bring back to you exactly what you send out whereas an optimistic, cheerful and enthusiastic frame of mind will inspire those around you who will benefit from it and love you for it. Good luck needs to be earned.

Numerology – The Fun Way to Learn About People Around You

Filed under: Story — admin @ 4:16 am

For starters, numerology was not really used to predict future happenings.  It was actually used to examine a person’s character.  A lot of the numbers involved are part of a group of numbers that are set at your birth date, and some change with time.  A basic example is a woman who changes her name after getting married.  Another example is when the court orders for the change of a child’s name after his parents’ divorce paper gets approved.

After learning just the governing principle of numerology, some of you may feel the urge to dig deeper and sink your teeth in.  That’s great.  It shows that you are thinking.  To mere, a mere interest in numerology tells a lot about how a person thinks.  I guess a big part of it comes from me being a huge fan of the band Tool.  For those you aren’t familiar, the band is known for their complex strong structures.  Truth is I don’t know of anyone who faults this band.  It is said that its lead singer, Maynard James Keenan practices numerology.  This has yet to be confirmed but with the way every song in the Tool catalogue goes, we may just have our numerology idol.

But of course you don’t need to be an extremely talented Keenan to learn and enjoy numerology.  It is actually both easy and fun. Here’s how it goes: A number is designated to every letter in the alphabet.  The letters involved form your name, and practically your general personality.  The numbers in themselves have meanings.

With numerology we learn about people from the time of their birth to what they are now.  Learning and understanding how a person is brought up has an impact on how we deal with that person.

You see not only is it fun, it can also bring forth understanding among people. In my numerology study, I learned that there are special numbers.  They are 11 and 22.  When you examine a person’s character, these two numbers have a great impact as they have more profound meanings.  It’s true and maybe a bit scary when you find out that some of the most powerful people in the world have these two numbers associated with their names.

For everyone’s purpose, I am encouraging people to study numerology. It has been a big help and is continue to be of aid to me. I want to share with you this blog that also helped me understand numerology more: http://study-numerology.info

It has that fun feel to it that I’m pretty sure will rouse your interest.
